Islamic Jurisprudence According to the Four Sunni Schools
volume 1
Modes of Islamic Worship
This i s one o fthe most clear and precise books of contempary Islamic jurisprudence. It teaches all of the aspects and categories of Islamic jurisprudence according to the four sunni schools that are followed by the majority of muslims: the Hanafi, the Maliki, the Shafi, and the Hanbali. It was authored by a commitee of experts who specialized in these four schools under the guidance and supervision of sheikh Abd al-Rahman al-jaziri (1882-1941). Sh. al-Jaziri edited the book so that it would be a comprehensive reference in the hands of the imams who were carrying the burden of da'wa (the propagation of Islam) and givein sermons in the mosquesof Egypt and other Arab and Muslim coutries. For this reason this book was able to gain the respect of scholar, address the issues with which most people are concerned, and aid preachers and imams for over seventy years on answering the needs and the questions posed by mosque attendees.
For this reason it has been printed and reprinted many times. In addition to being regarded highly, it has been approved by many sunni institutions of learning. This book provides a great baraka that we must consider as being a result of the knowledge and ssincerity of its authors; it contains issues that are not easily found in other books.
